Hello There
Today I have been going through the process of rooting my phone to allow for thinstallation of custom firmware on my phone. Currently i am using an HTC hero.
The tutorial i was using was : How To: Root Your HTC Hero in One Click! (Updated 03.07.10!) | TheUnlockr
Unfortunately in order for meto root my HTC Hero i had to use the GoldCard method to downgrade, I did this and downgraded to 2.73.405.5. Afterwards i was able to root the phone fairly easily.
Next i followed these instructions fromt he unlockr: How To: Load a Custom ROM on Your HTC Hero | TheUnlockr The rom i decided to use was this: VillainROM Forums • View topic - [ROM] VillainROM 10.3 - Official 2.1 GSM Hero Base
I followed the Unlockrs procedure to the letter, i let the software install and rebooted my phone.
However when i turn my phone on , the boot screen loads up fine, but i get a window appearing saying:
"The application Setup Wizard (process com.Android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
Please help, I don't want to do anything else to the phone till someone can guide e on what to do. ANY help is very welcome. Thanks Guys
