i rooted my galaxy s 4g and when i went to flash a new rom it is not working it keeps going back to recovery mode. it also says failed to find cache partition. im stuck please help

Going straight into recovery, as opposed to just hanging up when trying to boot, sounds like the ROM is missing, or else very severely corrupted.

If you made a backup from recovery before flashing (which you should always do), then try to restore that. Otherwise, I'm not an S4 expert, but my instinct is to reboot recovery, format cache and system, then try to flash the ROM again. If that doesn't work, try a different ROM - you should be able to copy one to your SD card using a card reader, or maybe mount it over usb from recovery.

If none of that works, the best advice I can give is to register here so that you can ask for advice in our S4 forum. That way you can discuss the problem with many people who have experience with this device and work out the best solution.

Don't worry, this is fixable.
