Help i rooted my phone but no superuser icon showed up.. what to do?

I tried rooting my phone several times already and it was successful... using up zip... but no superuser icon appeared in the menu... So I'm not rooted? What do I do now? Help please. I'm so desperate...
 
Maybe it's rooted anyway. Have you been to the market to download SuperUser? Also download Terminal Emulator, type in su, press enter. You will see if you have the phone rooted.
 
Thanks. I have successfuly rooted my phone using the universal gingerbread root. SU icon showed up. Now I don't know how to change the fonts for my entire phone..
