My sons insignia just borfed I think. he said the battery meter was up to fifty percent and for no reason just dropped to zero and it will not power on.
the only response is a double vibrate then nothing ,, its almost like a boot loop.
The only way I can get anything to load at all is plugging up power cord and hold volume - and power button and it will boot to the insignia screen but nothing else.
My computer says the device drivers are there but system is damaged and could not be opened.
I was hoping that someone would have an idea or something to try.
after booting to the insignia label I then tried the reset button and turned it back on but no go.
I think maybe the battery let go and I read somewhere the battery has to be at 20 or 30 percent before it will boot but not sure on that .

Thanks in advance for you help

Plug in the charger. Let it charge at least overnight before you try to turn it on.

A battery that drops from some decent charge level to 0 almost instantly is most likely factory defective. It may come back to life again, but it could drop to 0 again at any time.

Thanks for the reply,, yeah I let it charge for a couple of days so it's either the battery like you said or a short pulling it down,, I guess it's a goner lol, I wonder if I could order another battery and change it myself and where besides manufacturer could I find parts.
