I want my Android 7 lock screen back.

Specifically, I want the lock screen to display both the media control bar and the clock at the same time, not requiring swiping. Spent about an hour on Google to no result.
I'm on the S8 running Android 8.0.0 and Samsung Experience version 9.0
First image is my old J7 running Android 7.1, displaying both the time and media controls simultaneously

The next two images are my S8 not doing that.

UPDATE - SOLVED: Samsung support said it couldn't be done but if you use Good Lock and LockStar (both are Samsung products only available in the Galaxy Store) you can make it happen.

Update two: now that my phone's updated to Pie, if you turn off 'media controller' in your lock screen options, it'll let the app's own controller notification back.
