I want to buy

Hi all
I have had fun testing out free apps since getting my phone a few weeks ago. Want to buy a couple now. Never used checkout or put card details in my phone before. Would feel happier with pay pal. Once set up, do you have to put details in every time? Can you set up via a pc?

Thanks

No, you only have to enter the information once. I had to recently update my credit card information, and found it much easier to go to market.android.com to change the information. I would recommend the same for entering card information for the first time.

I would sooner do that, Do you get charged for curreny conversion? cant see where to enter card details on that site though

*edit, sorry found it :)

Yes, you do get charged for currency conversion. I don't remember if its Google Checkout charging you or your credit card company, so it may vary depending on what card you have.

Thats a pain. Is it alot? I know that it will vary though

Charges for buying apps in different currencies are levied by your bank, not Google. You'll find the details in your bank's terms and conditions.

I'm with Barclays who don't levy any charges for currency conversion when I use my debit card. Halifax charge GBP1.50 per transaction I believe. YMMV.
