Root I want to try a different rom

I just want to see if somebody can make sure I got the right steps.
1. Using TWRP make sure the ROM is on the internal storage and gapps zips.
2. Wipe button
3. Install ROM and gapps
Pretty much, right? I have DU running now, but played around with the build.prop and stuff, got a few bugs now; screen on button sometimes doesn't work, network strength on status bar always full, even when it's not. Other minor bugs too. Might just reflash DU, it maybe try PA.

Nobody? I used the twrp file explorer. Copied the zips to the internal root and then rebooted to use es3 to ensure that they are in the internal storage so when I wipe I have them to flash, but they are not there. They ended up in /sdcard/!ready to flash. Seemed weird, and after the problems I had with drivers for wugs toolkit, I really don't want to have to go through that again.

Yep, you have the general steps right. I believe you need to take extra steps to wipe everything from the memory card, so when you just "wipe," the data on internal sd will remain. You don't need to change r/w permissions to do any of this. Just look for the rom and gapps zip files in TWRP. I often download straight from the phone so they end up in the downloads folder. I don't have my phone around to see exactly what you were trying when copying them to another location, but you don't need to put them anywhere special.

Okay. I guess I misunderstood the wipe function. I though that if I left them in my download folder they would be deleted as well.
