i would like a recommendation

hi i am not good with computers and i'm not so sure of recommendations i have received from store employees, can anyone on this forum recommend an affordable laptop that can run newer games on at least medium settings that has dedicated graphics not integrated and hopefully under 750,00$

A lot of what you are asking depends on what games, some of the newest can only run on powerhouse laptops. Also finding a dedicated graphics card at that price is going to be a little harder, an Asus A55VD lists for $799.00 and has a GeForce 610m dedicated graphics card but that may not even reach medium levels on some games. It does have an I7 which is a big plus for you. For gaming you probably want at least a 650m which is going to bump the price up.

for a couple hardware specs I'd look for an intel i5 or better (or amd equivalent most likely 8 core) and then 6GB ram or more I would say. Graphics on laptops is always the hardest to find good, but when you are looking at a laptop, find out what its got for graphics and the do a google search on it and you might find some gamer reviews on it

pfb98's right.

I would suggest that for games, if you need to compromise (which you will), you should favour a better graphics card over a better processor, memory (within reason - definitely don't go under 4GB) and disk.
