so long story short, my moms boyfriend has a tablet, I'm not sure which one though.. Anyways I accide dismissed the download complete check marks that are in the top corner and he's freaking out at me that I deleted everything that those check marks stood for. He thinks he's being hacked (I've told him numerous times that I did it, but he's a drunk and won't listen to me) although the apps he downloaded are on the homepage he really wants those check marks in the corner (I suppose separation anxiety haha) is there anyway to make those check marks come back?

No, theses are merely notifications. It is possible to see what they were along with other notifications but no way to reinstate.

THe following was found on lifehacker.com

By creating a shortcut to the notifications section of Settings, you can open up a list of every notification you've received. Here's how:
  1. Open the widget selector.
  2. Find "Settings shortcut" and place it on the screen.
  3. Choose "Notifications" from the menu.
