i3 3110M 2.4GHz Processor, any good for games?

Hey guys, I've bought my better half a Samsung 350E7C Laptop for Christmas after seeing it on sale, was just wondering if the i3 processor teamed with the onboard Intel HD 4000 graphics chip would be enough to play games like the sims 3? Would it at a push play something new like Skyrim?

Intel HD 4000 is a lot better than the graphics card in my old laptop. I reckon you could play Skyrim on low/medium settings , maybe with a hint of AA too.

Thanks Mehta, she likes her Sims game so as long as she can play that and the next one there shouldn't be a problem... now just need to find out if the game is compatible with Windows 8

hit a stroke of luck, it is as long as you put the latest patches on... gotta say I'm not that keen on the look of Windows 8 on a desktop or lappy, think I'll be sticking with 7 for a while.

Check the windows 8 thread. There are a few ways to get the more standard desktop and the start menu.
