Root I9300 - TWRP Backup Error: createTarFork() process ended with signal: 9

XceS

Lurker
I've backed up my phone plenty of times, and it has always worked, now all of a sudden i get the error:
"createTarFork() process ended with signal: 9"
This is about 1/3 through the backup, while it's working on backing up the Data Partition.
I've checked the log and i just see a bunch of Mozilla FireFox stuff, but nothing that indicates why it errors.

I'd like to back up before installing CM13, now that it finally has a stable release.
Anyone have a fix for this?

you should reset your phone from factory data reset.

:)Hope that helps

you should reset your phone from factory data reset or did you have any custom recovery?

:)Hope that helps

I appreciate the input, but that would beat the entire point of backing up my current system.
I might as well just try out the CM13, and if not to my liking put back a month old backup and take the data-loss..
Imo, not an option, too much changed.. I'm trying to get the bug fixed.. maybe data corruption or something?
Dunno, help in getting the error Fixed without throwing everything out would be much appreciated.
FYI: Yes, I'm running a CM10.2 atm

...
My phone is rooted, and it has CyanogenMod 10.2 installed on it..
I'd like to use TWRP to make a nandroid backup of my entire system, as i always have, and has always worked up until now.
I'm not gonna use apps to backup installed apps n stuff, the recover is never the same, still have to redo settings and stuff.
Can someone help me figure out why i get the Signal 9 error during my TWRP backup and how to get it fixed?
This without resorting to third party apps or half-assed solutions, just a full TWRP backup.

Thanks in advance
