Icon Frames after Oreo update

Can anyone tell me why I can't turn off icon frames after the oreo update? Well, I can turn them off in settings but it has utterly no effect. They're still on.

Because after Oreo, Google made it so that you can't turn them off with Adaptive Icons.You will notice that the only ones which won't turn off are Google apps.
