New Droid X owner and having problems getting icons and widgets on the screen I want them on. I also cannot figure out how to add additional contact shortcut widgets to the screen.
 
When you long press on a home screen a menu pops up with a list for shortcuts, widgets ect. Choosing widgets will give you a list of available widgets on your phone and choosing shortcuts will give another list for application shortcuts and also contact shortcuts. If you need something more specific just ask:)
