Anybody know what that is next to the Bluetooth symbol? It's not the usual battery symbol, as that's to the right, as normal.

one of my bluetooth earpieces had a custom battery meter bluetooth icon.. was kinda neat.. shame i can't find the stooopid thing.

the bit that looks like a smaller battery - that's the meter for your bluetooth device. IIRC.

It should cut in half at some point and look like half a battery. I don't think it has has grainular a markings. Might do 1/4ths or something.

Interestingly, none of my connected Bluetooth devices at the time were battery operated! Maybe it was reading one that was off...

what was it - if you don't mind my asking? it might be reporting full power in the bt data stream but not have a battery.

Something that was implemented in BT 4.0 - I think, maybe before hand. Was a data stream of condition of the BT device - which included battery charge state such that BT headsets and headphones can report to the mobile if their batteries are low - without the headset or headphones needing their own display. I know Jawbone jumped on this when it was first available.

Might have been BT 3.1.
