Icons always go to first homescreen

If I'm in my app drawer, long press an icon and then press Add to Home Screen, it always puts the icon on the leftmost screen, even if I'm on another screen. This behavior started after I upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.6. Is this a bug in the OS?

mine does the same thing. then i can drag anywhere after that

This is the way the new MotoBlur works.

To do it the way you used to do it with your Droid 2, you will need to install a third party launcher, such as Launcher Pro or Go Launcher.

I use the stock D4 blur and this doesn't happen to me. Wha...?

Another upgrade that's really a downgrade. I hope ICS is different.

i have the go launcher and its pretty sweet. it fixes alot fo stuff
