Help icons on the home launcher pages keep disappearing

Hi All,

I have a Android mobile phone using Android version 6.0 and the 1 June 2016 Security Patch. What keeps happening are random icons on the home launcher pages keep disappearing.

I store most of the Apps on the SD card. The SD Card is a
"Kingston 32 GB UHS Class 1/Class10 microSDHCUHS-I Flash Memory Card (Included microSDHC to SD Adapter)". Could it be the card that is the problem? Maybe it is not fast enough. It is only a year old. Do I need a new or faster SD card?

Does anyone know why random home page icons disappear?

It's nothing to do with your SD card.
It's your stock launcher issue, the icons are not locked by default.
Switch to a launcher such as Nova launcher which has the lock option
