Icons & widgets

Is there a single site where can I find many sets of icons for our phones? I downloaded the LauncherPro icons and they look nice but the styles are different. Some have more shadow and appear less sharp.

Another question: is it true that widgets consume a lot of battery power?

You are probably in the best place for icons, and wallpapers. Most people here are very good at pointing you in the right direction and even sharing things they have if you ask nicely. As far at the widgets go it all depends on the widget and its function. If it is something that is constantly searching the internet for data then yes it will consume battery power. My suggestion it use an app killer that will kill the widget connection when it is not needed. Good luck, and have fun customizing your phone! :D

Hey, we were posting at the same time! LOL. Yes, I know this is the best place and wondered whether there's a consolidated site for large sets of icons. :) I've looked through so many pages here that I'm getting crossed eyed!

The LauncherPro icons that I mentioned are found here: Most Recent Icons | LauncherPro Icons. Many icons but the styles are subtly different.

My favourite icons so far are the metro icons: Browsing deviantART but it doesn't seem to have gallery and calendar. :(

The best thing to do if you don't see an icon for the icon pack you like is to ask the person who made the icon pack if they would mind making you one if you can't find it. I find the best icons on the Post Your Android Desktop thread.
