Icons

Hi,

I am currently trying to customise my phone and have found alot of icons that I do like and am using but there are a few missing. I love the kind of icons that dont have a background...just the picture standing alone (I hope that makes sense). For example I have some of the android bot icons that I found through this website that are literally just the little green bot with headphones for example.

I have found some that I like through icon search but they all seem to have a background making them box shape? Does anyone know how I can remove the background so I just get a plain picture rather than a square icon.

I really hope this makes sense as Ive confused myself slightly trying to explain?!! Thankyou :-)

what you would want to do would be in a image editing software. You would want to use the lasso tool to cut the image out and then put it in a new 'badge' if you will, and make that badge transparent

... or find icons which are .png format with the background already removed for you. There's loads on Google.

Don't just right click and save the file either otherwise you lose the transparency. Instead, go right into the site and download them from there. For some reason, just right clicking and saving the icons loses the transparency.
