ICS Features?

I was reading that the Droid Razr has the following inside hardware wise, NFC, barometer, thermometer etc

I was wondering if those will become functional with the ICS update?

(also wondering if it is true it has that hardware)

you may be confused. i'm almost certain that the RAZR doesn't have those sensors in there.

I, too, am wondering about NFC on ICS when it hits the RAZR.
As for a barometer and thermometer, what is the purpose of these on a phone?

I suppose we'll find out when ICS hits for the Droid Razr whether or not those components are enabled...

It's questionable whether or not NFC will work since the articles indicates that hardware seems to be missing or mis-configured. Time will tell I guess... ;)

there's a nice altimeter app that uses the barometer on the phones that have it switched on - useful in making a "glass display" for private pilots for example. i could imagine my razr being a nice weather station - the app probably already exists. i hope it all gets turned on!

They don't leave those things turned off for no reason. Motorola is slow to upgrade software so don't expect them to turn those options on.
