ICS to newest JB?

It's been 8 months now and I'm still on ICS on my RMHD, having pushed back every update install attempt. I've explored the poss of going with the update to newest OS now just to be ahead of potential functional issues and app compat issues. Other than the annoyance of having to deny the update install prompt every day, I'm perfectly content with ICS as it is stable and quick and I still have UMS capab, full HDMI output, and love the old smartactions settings. What am I missing with the new OS that's so compelling for me to change? Thanks for your advice!!

In my opinion, you are not missing anything except Google Now which I do not currently use. I have been thinking of going back to ICS myself just because I miss Mass Storage Mode.

If you do decide to take the latest OTA, they closed the bootloader exploit allowing you to unlock your bootloader. Mine is rooted with an unlocked bootloader.

I was hard pressed to find any reason to recommend the upgrade to Jelly Bean to anyone. Ice Cream Sandwich seemed to solve all the ongoing problems and then along came Jelly Bean.

I found one ... Safe Mode. You can now drop into Safe Mode and disable all apps that you added without uninstalling them. You can pretty quickly determine if you have an app-induced problem or not.
