I'd like an app for This American Life

like the one that exists for iPhone. For those who aren't familiar, TAL is a great radio show broadcast by NPR about various topics. The app allows you to listen to any past episode you like through your phone.

Any programmers wanna get to work on this? :)

Try google listen or another podcast program and subscribe to their podcast. I've subscribed to Car Talk, TAL, Wait Wait, and Only a Game.

But the point of the iPhone app is that you pay TAL $2, and get unlimited access to their archives plus a bunch of other stuff. Obviously, TAL would have to generate this app themselves.

I've been hoping that they would release one. It's the only iPhone envy i've had in a while, and it's a bit of a disadvantage to plug up my phone to my computer and then load the newest episodes on it. I haven't used any podcast programs, but i will try that out soon. I'll email TAL and see if an android app is somewhere in the future and inform you all on their response.

Straight from the TAL FAQ:

"Are you going to make the app for Android, Blackberry and other phones?

"We’re considering it. Android will probably be first. But we want to make sure the iPhone version is stable before moving to different platforms. If Android goes well we may develop it for other phones too."
