Identify App Icon

New to forum: Just noticed Icon next to Time on Notification Bar -looks somewhat like a 7 pronged rake with a bottom shadow ? Appreciate any assistance in identifying.

Welcome to Android Forums. We get this sort of question often and rarely are we of assistance. There are countless notification icons and unless it is for an often used app we seldom recognize it. If it is on your phone, you can pull the icon down for more information. A shared screen shot might help us.

The icon above the message area to the right of the chain link is for posting a picture. You can drop the image in the box or hit the up arrow and choose the file to upload.

Like this: click on the link icon in this box for a URL (which is what it sounds like you have selected), or the arrow to the left of it produces the upload box shown here. Personally I just click to select a file and use the file browser to select one (that's generally quicker with the way I work).

A notification on the left-hand side of the screen usually means an app rather than a system feature. You can usually work these out by pulling the notification slide down to look at the notification itself (if that doesn't tell you what it is, press and hold the notification and it should identify which app. Or tap the notification and see where it takes you).

It's not an app I recognise, but there are literally millions of the things.
