Does this forum cover the IDOL 3 as well? Just wonder if the phone has root before I consider buying it.
 
I have successfully rooted and installed CyanogenMod 12 on this device.
It also has a friendly community over on XDA developers if you need help.
In fact most things on the device are heavily documented... I myself have written an in-depth tutorial on rooting, installing custom recoveries and custom ROMs
 
Which Alcatel model forum on here should I look at that is the closest to the Idol 3? Thanks
