If SETTINGS can change it, why can't Tasker

Android 5.0 ( LG Sunset LG l33l )
Since I am able to go to SETTINGS and change LOCATION / MODE, Why can't tasker do it?
I do not want to go down the "root" path. I am not a developer, just a weekend warrior.
Want to toggle GPS Accuracy.

Tasker is a one-person development.
He implemented as much as he could and chose what to implement based on popularity.
Not everything got included.
If you are root-ed in Tasker (and I am not) you can manipulate the dialog boxes like Location.

You can add it to his wish list and if he implements anything new it might be included.

....and a pretty amazing one man show at that! Most features that are readily accessible to developers through api's are included in tasker

It could be that Google does not provide any means for apps to adjust this. If you set your gps mode to off or battery saving mode, you probably would not be happy if an app changed it without your interaction
