If you have to change what will it be to?

OK, so things are a little unclear at the moment, but, if it comes to 'you have to give up the Note 7' what the heck will you get?

I have no idea (which is why I'm asking - I like to be prepared!) I love my 7, I love the pen, the size etc.

Ideas?

When I was waiting for a replacement Note 7 I had an S7 Edge as a loaner. The display is a little smaller (5.5" vs 5.7"), it has less internal memory (32GB vs 64GB), and it doesn't have USB-C or an S-Pen. The S7 Edge does have the same good camera and better battery life, and I really learned to like the smaller phone, so my replacement for the Note 7 is the S7 Edge.

I upgraded from S6 Edge + to the Note 7 so not sure on that one.

Depends - If I can pick up the Pixel XL from Google and put a Sprint SIM in it, I may do that, otherwise I will pick up a Note 5 (what I upgraded from) and use that until something comes out that I want.

The Note 7 is the best phone for me based on what is out there (or shortly will be), its the reason I picked it. I will be very upset if I need to bring it back.

LG V20 looks to have all the features and some without the pen. Pre-orders start on 10/21 with delivery on 10/28. It will come with Android 7.0 (Nougat) Micro SD slot AND a removable battery so you can change it yourself when it burns a hole through your pocket.

That's what I would get as well. If it comes to the point of a second recall I will just switch back to LG. I used to have an LG g3 and loved it before I got his note 7. Should of stuck with lg.

I'm not to bothered about the spen but I do love the edge screen so I'm leaning towards the s7 edge.

Edit: With UK couriers starting to refuse to transit the Note 7 and all production and future support stopped it became the more sensible option to get rid and put this behind me. So i'm getting S7 Edge on thursday.

Is it going to be on VZW? The internet says yes, but there isn't a release date, and the person I talked to on the phone the other day from VZW had no information at all.

Don't get me wrong, I stand by the Big V as the greatest network, but their employees never have up to date information, and when they do, it's usually unreliable.

I never ask them anything about phones when I visit the corporate store near me for help with my account. I rarely go in anymore except to browse new phone models because I can usually solve any situation online these days.

I couldn't see why Verizon wouldn't carry it. Especially since they don't have the N7 to sell now. They've carried the LG lineup for many years. I would bet that VZW is busy loading their crapware on it now and will announce release date soon. They always seem to be the last to do so.

My wife is still using my brushed chrome (full metal outer body) LG VX8700 flip phone

which was the best flip phone I ever owned. Damn, I can't even begin to remember when I bought this one.

Although there are a lot of good features on the Note 7, most of them can be found in other devices except for the excellent pen. If forced to return the Note 7, I'll buy a Note 5 until the Note 8 comes out. A phone without the ability to draw and create is just boring.

Im torn. On one hand I want the note 5 because of the spen but no micro sd card. On the other I want the s7 line...but no spen. I had the note 4 but gave it to my mom when I got this one. I wouldn't mind getting it again but I want to play with the new vr more.

I wish other companies made a phone with a spen comparable to samsung.

Well, I fought it as long as I could, but the VR was the key. I had to switch to the S7 edge. Just got it and the N7 is no more.:( I'll see you all over there if you decide to go with that model.;) Can't wait for the N8.....I hope!!

First I wanted the LG V20 but it does not come to Belgium, now I want the google pixel XL but that will probably not come to Belgium. So I'll just have to go for the s7 edge

Uhmmm. A safer Note 7.

My S7 edge comes tomorrow. Last full day on the note before it's boxed up. Sigh. Disappointed but like you the vr is key as I have it getting the edge made more sense. Now I just want my edge set up to get this sorted once an for all. Sick of all the changing phones now. I'll be back for the note 8 though.

I factory reset it, it's all boxed up, ready to go when I have some time, next week probably. Going to keep on using the Oppo R7 Plus, that I bought just over a year ago, and is still a very capable phone IMO, and it takes a micro-SD of course. :thumbsupdroid:

I'm a school teacher and often use a phone in classrooms for checking lesson plans etc, and I just can't be using a now known to be dangerous unsafe device, that could endanger students, staff, friends and property.

I just ordered a used Note 5, what I used to have but sold it to the carrier (last time I ever do that). I liked it well enough and I can spend another year with it. We will see what next year brings. Note 8, maybe a Pixel that is not exclusive to Verizon or maybe LG/HTC will surprise us, who knows?
