I have an issue where my phone ignores the id3 tag information for album and instead uses the folder I put the files in. I've also had it rewrite the genre tags to unknown or a number in parentheses like (168). Using an app on the phone I can correct the rewritten tags and they stay fixed that way but since I went through the trouble of adding tags to my old mp3s (I was aggressively tagless for years) It's rather annoying.
I don't use a program to transfer the files for me (unless you count windows explorer) and I'd rather not have to make a ton of folders just to work around an issue that shouldn't be there in the first place.
(Also had a recent issue where if I'm browsing or playing my files through a genre list every single file has 3 entries, but still only one file on the phone... which is bizarre.)
Currently using winamp for android, but the genre re-write and album ignore issue started in the default player.
