I'm brand new...Battery questions

Hobie

Lurker
Hello, I'm brand new to the Android OS with my new htc Droid Incredible.

I love the phone but am used to iPhone where there is no multitasking!

Will I get batter life if I "kill" applications that are shown to be running but I'm not using? I downloaded the app, Advanced Task Killer to do that.

Will I get better battery life if I turn off Bluetooth when I'm not using it?

Any other battery conservation advice?

Thanks for your help.

Hobie.

You might want to pose the same question in the HTC Incredible forum section, there are sections for each phone, as well as each carrier, etc...

Task killers are only needed for apps that use background data & CPU cycles. like GPS apps, push email, or anything that checks with a remote server often. including sometimes google maps. To conserve battery, disable GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G (use 2G only). And enable these only when needed.
