I'm glad I'm immune to the iKool-Aid

I have to admit that I just don't get it.

I recognize that they make solid, reliable products that generally are sufficiently simple that a monkey could operate them. After all, that's why they're popular.

But the way you have to work with them...what a giant PITA.

I have to support an app that is only available for the iOS. The company is only going to support it for another year or two, and I'll be really glad when I can give work back their infernal iPad.

Seriously, I'd be happier receiving as a gift a pack of Dentyne than an iDevice, at least if I actually had to keep and use the thing.

Ugh.

Wow, tell me how you really feel. "Sufficiently simple that a monkey could operate them", really? I have no interest in owning an iPhone. I'll stay with my Nexus 5 thank you, but why did you feel the need to bring on all the hate? Did it make you feel better? It's because of people like you, that this crap continues within all these forums. For a minute, i thought that i was in the Crackberry forums. No more hate, please.:(

Though a bit crass, I get rootabaga's point. I think it was a hyperbolic way of pointing out one of the big differences between the Android approach to a problem (differentiated apps) and the iOS approach (one method with no variation).

I also agree with you grunt, I don't like the panning of competitor's as inferior or inferior thinkers. At the end of the day each of us should choose the device and platform best for our own wants and desires.:)
