I'm newb 2 Andy developing apps

After some research I bought an Android tab (Andy). I am a longtime iPhone owner but never tried developing apps for it. The so called open platform for Android sounded like something with great potential As long as lazy lawyers stay out of the act and pervert the original concept.
My plan is to develop apps that a Chef would find useful.
