Root I'm overwhelmed there is too much information

Hi there! I'm looking to root my XT925 but I have read a lot of threads here and there and now I'm confused ...
So to root my cell Do I need to have the bootloader unlock? or I can root it without unlock the bootloader?
either way I will loose my warranty with Motorola? or only it is loose if the bootloader is unlock?

Unlocking your bootloader is not required for Root.

All of this kind of stuff theoretically voids your warranty.

Ok got it.... warranty will be void anyway.
Can you point me to the root method without unlocking the bootloader?
