I'm saying HI

I'm an "old-time" computer user - mainframes were my livelihood many years ago. When the desktops came about I started with the old Apple Plus, then changed to PCs due to my company getting some. So I've been through many iterations of Microsoft - from DOS on up.

I've also been through several ereaders attempting to find the "perfect" one - I'm a techie at heart, so I love finding new ones to try. Last one was not an ereader, but an Android - Sony S Tablet. With it, I decided that I hated Android OS. Last week I saw an 8" tablet, the Archos G9, on sale and decided to give it a try. What a difference! I think the things I hated about Android were Sony's adaptation. I'm loving the Archos, so I'm going to see if I can find out more about the Android OS.

Great list here and I'm working my way through reading all I can.

Hi peaceridge, welcome :)

Yeah Android has come a long way. I loved it from when I got my first Android phone (a HTC Desire running Android Eclair), but it has improved a lot with the later builds. :D
