how do i get images from new Galaxy S4 into my computer. computer does not recognize my laptop!
 
The issue is most probably either the USB drivers on the computer (remove the USB cable, uninstall the drivers and Kies, re-install Kies and replace the cable when prompted, make sure you allow the drivers to install) or a dodgy USB cable - try a different cable.

If you're still having problems, you could try something like AndroidSync which provides some limited sync functionality over WiFi.
