Help [IMEI] the imei is different than the original !!

hi guys please i got a problem and i need help...

my phone is working fine but when I'm trying to change my SIM to another network its just don't work !! (the SIM is working fine on another phone)

and i had tried everything like :
1- restart the phone
2- factory reset
3- flash another frameware
4- install xposed and imei changer
5- play with network settings

and its just the same and give me "no service : selected network (vectone) unavailable "


and what i found that my IMEI on the back of the phone is completely different than the IMEI from *#06# !!!!

what can i do?? is my phone locked on (Comviq) network wich I'm using now ??
how can i fix it please

Did you aquire the phone new or second hand? The IMEI not matching is definitely wrong, and could be because it was illegally cloned. Also it sounds like it might be IMEI blacklisted rather than SIM locked, from what you're describing about not getting service.

What you can do about, not a lot yourself, except possibly check with the carrier about the phone's status, if it's clear or not. There's CheckMend as well. And if you can take it up with the seller, report it to the police or something. Cloning or altering a phone's ESN, IMEI or MEID is unlawful in many countries and jurisdictions. Vectone is a UK operator.

One legitimate reason for the IMEI not matching is that the motherboard could have been changed by previous owner.
Not familiar with how things work in UK but you could check and see if it is sim locked to Comviq network.
When you tried new sim, did you input the correct APN settings for new sim?

SIM locked phones will usually indicate it if a different carrier's SIM is inserted. I believe Comviq operates as an MVNO in the UK, but then so is Vectone. "emergency calls only" and "no service", can mean the phone's IMEI is being rejected by the network, i.e. blacklisted for whatever reasons. Plus the SIM apparently works in another phone no problem.

Is there a reliable IMEI check service in the UK? I use Swappa here in the US to verify IMEI is clean and not blacklisted but not sure if they work outside of US.

Yeh, there is CheckMend. I came across that years ago when I was in a local Cash Converters in Bristol. Remember someone was trying to sell a Nokia E72, and the database came up with the IMEI as being an iPhone, sufficed to say they refused it. However this was CheckMend's professional service to the trade.
