Import iPhone calendar w/o GMail _without_ other sync?

There are many threads that touch on this, but I can't seem to find the right one for me.

I'm a recent convert from the iPhone to Android, just acquired an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II. I want to import my iPhone calendar without using GMail, as I don't want my calendar data in Google's cloud. However I also don't care about syncing my Android phone to anything else--most of the other threads talk about Outlook/Exchange syncing etc. I want to use my phone and only my phone for my calendar; maybe I'd want to export it in some way, but this isn't my main concern.

Is this something I can accomplish? I have .ics files of my iPhone calendar. I haven't decided what calendar app to use, but I'm happy to use something other than the stock one.

FYI - I you use the Calendar on your phone, you're going to also want to Disable the calendar Sync otherwise it will end up on your GMAIL anyway.

I ended up using "iCal Import/Export", which worked perfectly.

Having trouble finding the right calendar app, but it seems that there's always a lot of discussion about that....
