Help Importing contacts from sim

I am having trouble importing contacts from my sim 'old' card - it was in an HTC touch wm6 phone.

if I go into contacts ---> menu ---> import/export ---> import from SIM ----> [it says Create contact from account and below "Phone LG PC Suite"]
if I press "Phone LG PC Suite" I get a screen that says no contacts.

I am obviously missing something - can anyone help
