Is it possible to import my own pdf files into the reader that comes with HTC phones? Ive tried the Digital Editions file trick but it doesnt work for me.

You can only import .epub books in Reader's Digital Edition folder.
If you look out for a good reader for PDF eBook, have a look at Mantano Reader.
It's not for free but it's the best reader for PDF eBooks I have seen yet.
