Help Impossible to turn of Wifi since last firmware update

Hi. I updated my phone a week ago to the latest Lollipop firmware G900FXXU1BOJ1. Since then I have been unable to turn off Wifi. If I try to turn it off the light on the button goes out for a few seconds, and then it turns itself on again. Even if I turn on airplane mode the Wifi insists on turning itself on again. My brother has an identical phone and has the same problem since he updated his firmware. Has anybody else experienced the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Adrian

sure would help us to know what you are talking about.

that firmware number means absolutely nothing to nearly all of us.... except "IronAss" who tracks those things.

so, what phone, and what model?

so, long way 'round, I took the first few letters 'G900F' and did a Google Search, and Wallah! you are talking about a Samsung Galaxy 5.....

since I posted that, I see it is now in the S5 forum.... someone moved fast.
It helps a lot though, if you will put the phone model in the Title, or at a minimum, make it clear in the post what phone you have.

I have two S5 phones, one with 5.1.1 and the other with 4.4.4

I have never experienced the problem you have, but I am on Verizon inside the USA.

I think you'll find that my posting always was in the S5 forum!! Yes, it's the SM-G900F, as you can tell from the firmware. My phone is unbranded, and I'm in the UK, if it makes any difference.

Hi, is your phone factory unlocked or on O2, are you sure that this firmware is for your carrier. If the firmware is correct it sounds as though a factory reset might be a good idea. Phil

I am on O2, but my phone is unbranded (bought through Carphone Warehouse). The firmware was downloaded OTA, so it is definitely correct. Looks like I unfortunately will have to do a factory reset. Thanks for your help.
