As a high school football coach, I am ways looking for ways to give my team a competitive advantage. Being able to get real time rushing and passing yards and play counts would be a great help. I have seen the Cyrket scStats app and that doesn't real fit the bill for what I am looking for. I would like to be able to be able to input rushing attempts and yards for a particular player by selecting their jersey number and inputing where the line of scrimmage was and where the tackle was made and the program would compute the yardage.
putting in passing plays would also be done the same way by inputting the passer's number and the receiver's number. That way it could calculate passing yards and receiving yards at the same time. And when possession changes teams, you could switch teams and keep those stats for the other team. This way you know how your offense and defense is performing. Does anyone know if another app out there does this already or how difficult it would be to write this app?
