In need of SMS app......

Does anybody know of an app that will silence all notifications except for incoming calls while I sleep? I used to turn my phone off every night but I recently started a new job and I am on the call list for the alarm company. So for this reason I need to keep my phone on while I sleep but I don't want any other notifications (SMS, MMS, Facebook notifications) to wake me up. I tried SMS Notifier but was having problems with it constantly alerting me after I already had checked all me new massages. The one feature I liked about it is queit time.....it would not alert me of any new incoming SMS/MMS during the hours I set...but unfortunately it did not silence any Facebook alerts.

Why not just turn the notification sounds down when you go to bed?
The phone will still ring if you get a call and any alarms will still sound.

Well...I liked the idea that with SMS notifier it did it automatically at a preset tme every night.

What about bedside? I think it will silence everything except phone calls and/or sms. It also has a nice digital clock.

I use Tasker, and although there is a learning curve to using it, once you get things set up, it's fantastic. There's a forum you can go to for help on setting up Tasker profiles (on the developer's website). Timeriffic is also good, but a bit more limited than Tasker - it's limited to times, where Tasker allows you to set more parameters. For example, I have it set up to turn off all notifications except my alarm, and unless I get a call or text from my husband or son if the following criteria are met - phone is plugged in to the charger AND it's between the hours of 11 pm and 8 am. There are many criteria you can use to make it work for you.

I think I found one....it's called Silencr.....I'm going to give it a try. Has anyone else used Silencr?

I want to second the Tasker/Timerific suggestion. I use Tasker (paid app) because it does a million things (including what you need). They have a wiki page with sample tasks/profiles to help with the steep (because of all it can do) learning curve. With tasker you can set up a 1 touch widget to turn on your nighttime work mode.

Timerific does a decent job too. Not as customizable though.

I use Audio Buddy for that same reason. It lets you create custom sound profiles and set levels for calls, notifications, media, alarm, etc. I just created an OnCall profile. Very easy to switch between profiles. It's in the market.

+ 1 for Bedside. I love it. In fact I got rid of my night stand clock and just use bedside at night. You can whitelist who you want to come though for both phone and sms plus play your music at night
