I'm wondering if there is a way to ensure that a hotspot is always enabled on boot up of an Android device.
Backstory:
My company uses a Micronet A-317 in-truck rugged tablet that runs on Android 4.0.3 for our delivery trucks. We are working on enabling realtime scanner data to be synced using the Micronet's mobile hotspot. The sync works just fine, but the problem is that our driver turns his truck off probably 20-25 times a day to conduct a delivery. Turning the truck off turns the tablet off and with it the hotspot. Each time he then has to go in and manually turn the hotspot back on again once his truck is back up and running. I'm looking for a way around this.
Thoughts?
