Incoming Google Lockdown

Has anyone come up with an avoidance plan for the coming lockdown this fall?

I may have an answer, but I am wondering if and what plans/precautions others are doing/have done if they are trying to avoid this.

I feel that most people will roll over and take it, much like during 'covid' and out of sheer laziness or plain apathy.

Also, I feel that at least for my generation, this sort of thing started way back with forcing us to wear our seatbelts in our own personal vehicles.

I find the idea that some entity can force us to do/not do things with our own personal possessions that does not affect others to be against natural law.
Inaliable rights, if you will.

Android sucks with hearing aids. If I'm forced to do a walled garden, I might as well do iPhoney that works flawlessly with aids.

I had to go wash my hands after typing that.

Luckily, my S21 Ultra is just now beyond the EOL and is working with my aids. I might be in a sweet spot for BLE to work between phone and aids for the life of my aids. I feel the walls closing in on Android and it saddens me. What was once an exciting adventure to enjoy freedom of choice and customization has been swept away by money grabbin ..... (your own vulgar explicatives here)

There will be a workaround just have to jump through some extra hoops-

Better than nothing.
i understand this.
but wouldnt it be better if the devices just didnt get the update?

im not interested in jumping through any more hoops than i already do.

I have read that the 'update' is through google play services

what if that app is not active, and a firewall blocks internet to it?

personally, i would advise anyone that doesnt use google for squat to purge your device(s) of everything that is google as much as possible

i have used a combination of apps to 'uninstall for user' every google app possible while having a working device

of course, this makes a device extremely difficult/different from how a device usually works.

every utility device has been replaced

a firewall blocks all but 30 apps/group of apps for the system.
there are 233 system apps total

when i go through my apps list, showing system apps, this is what i see for apps i have 'uninstalled for user':

any app relating to a system update has also been done the same way

the device has not received one system update ever.

all of these apps were done like the above before i ever used the device or allowed it to connect to the internet in any way

also, there is no google account on the device

when i log in to my google account with a browser that i do that with, where you see the number of devices you have...

mine says 'you do not have any devices'

i saw today that if i open the Tubi app, it loads and then tells me that Tubi will not run without "Google Play Services, which is missing from your device."

tapping the screen most anywhere twice or a few times dismisses this toast message, and then the app works fine.

(this is all the proof i need that the app does NOT need google play services at all)

the toast reappears repeatedly as i scan the app, but so far no interruption of films with it after the film starts.
