Increased Battery Drain Lately

I noticed in the past few days, my battery on my phone seems to be draining faster than normal. I spoke to a friend of mine and he said he noticed the same thing about his phone. I was wondering if anyone noticed anything as of late. I have an HTC Desire Z and my friend has a Nexus S.

At first I thought it was Flipboard and Currents that I recently installed. However, even when not using these apps and using others that I normally use (Pulse), I noticed that my battery seems to run hotter. Not sure if any of this is related.

Anyone noticed something like this happening on their phones this past week?

I am with Verizon, have a Droid RAZR, and have had the same problem. My charge normally lasts 3 to 4 days before I have to recharge. Past two days complete drain in my battery. Nothing new installed. My service has been bouncing from 3g to 4g each day so I am thinking that might have something to do with my problem.

I'm beginning to think that it may be an issue with my battery itself. I charged it overnight and it was only at 89% when I woke up this morning.
