Help Indulge voice quality

recently I am seeing my phone call/voice quality taking a dive. The voices breaks up, to a point I have to repeat each sentence few times. Since voice doesn't use 4G, is there anything I can do to improve call quality?
 
Restarting phone and pulling out the battery for a few minutes seems to fix so many issues that its not even funny. Try that first then report back I'm sure someone may be able to help you better.
 
I concur with what AndroidxGuy has already said; however...

I have been having a lot of problems making / receiving phone calls lately as well. Mostly dropped calls though. I have been wondering if Metro is becoming a victim of their own success? Putting too many users on their network?

I have been using Metro for many years now, and I never really remember dropping any more phone calls than I ever did on any other carrier. Are we just having bad luck here, or is Metro overextending their network? I am in Tampa area (Pinellas County, actually), FL.
 
I only get dropped calls when I'm at work and inside a steel eggshell where no phone gets more than 1 maybe 2 bars if you're lucky. Other than that I get good coverage at all my hangouts here in San Jose CA.
 
Well...
Here in South Florida MertoPcs is infamous for YEARS for dropped calls, getting a voicemail with no ring, and lost text messages. With that being said..

On my first 2 smart phones with metro the service is wayyyy better. Does that have to do with the prl numbers constantly being updated?
