Root Information for Root.

Hello, I really need help because i'm very confused on what to do with the Galaxy s blaze. Based on all the threads i've read, a lot of people have trouble rooting this phone. Is there any method, as of 2014 or recently, to root this phone without all the trouble happening to everybody trying to root this phone? I know the consequences of root, but so far from what I've read about rooting this phone there are immense complications of soft-bricking 90% of the time it seems. I wouldn't be too worried about this if I could afford another phone (I don't have a warranty), however I'm literally on a tight budget, so if I screw this phone then I don't have a root or a phone for a year.

Is there any methods that are proven the safest RECENTLY that could allow me to have a high chance of root without the worry of soft-bricking my phone 90% of the time? I've tried XDA-Developers but all threads about rooting the Galaxy s blaze 4g are from 2012... Can anyone help me with this, please?

Please be patient with me, I'm still new to rooting but I have done it to both my tablets with success.
 
The command for my Debian machine doesn't work:

$sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb

Is there any other way I can get the adb you posted. Looks promising!
