Infuse 4g - download and transfer movies?

The instructions with my new Infuse 4g Android phone seem to indicate that I can download movies from the web, then transfer them to my HDTV. Do I need a special cable? Is it easy or difficult?
 
You can buy the hdmi cable for your phone, and any video that will play on the phone's stock video player will be played on a tv when connected to the hdmi. There are also apps similar to DLNA that will let you wirelessly play videos, if your tv supports network sharing like that.
