.Ink files - wallpapers? Common problem.

Hi there,

I have a rooted samsung galaxy S, and I'm having some problems transfering over simple images in any kind of format, I've found.

For example, I'll make a wallpaper, save as jpg / bmp, copy and paste it over my phone (Note: In USB debug mode), and when I come to view it in my files, it'll be a bmp.ink, or jpg.ink, or anything similar.

Schoolboy error on my behalf possibly?

Cheers,
Tom

Somehow you're managing to copy over shortcuts to the original file (.lnk files are shortcut files), rather than a full copy. How are you moving it over? With copy/paste, or are you dragging them, or what?

I'm not too sure, I'll try both ways and report back buddy.

Cheers in advance

Still having this problems ladies and gents,

Dragged and dropped into the phone, copied and pasted, right click drag drop, all sorts..

Used to be all good, copied quite a few seperate wallpapers over, but for some reason they're all .lnk extentions?

Weird.

Have you tried emailing a couple to your phone to see if they show up with the same extension?
