Input problem on Samsung Galaxy Ace duos S6802 while texting

Hi guys i'm using Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802 for a few months now and it has been working perfect but lately I am having problem with it while i'm texting messages. Sometimes when I get a new message and when i'm trying to reply back to it the onscreen keyboard pops up and when i hit on the words it does not get registered. In order to type the words in I have to exit the Messaging 3-4 times and clear the Ram memory to make it work properly. This is quite frustration. Please help...

You might fix it by clearing data and cache for the Messaging and Keyboard apps. Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Messaging/Keyboard. There you'll find "clear data" and "clear cache" buttons.

Another option would be to try alternative messaging and keyboard apps. Popular messaging apps include Handcent and Go SMS.
