Insert Stereotypical Intro Title Here

Hey. Apparently, I never introduced myself.

Well, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 on Verizon.

I joined this forum because Google searches often fail me. If I have an issue, usually all that results are blog posts with reviews that don't tell me what I need to know, so I mostly joined to get app recomendations and things like that or help with apps. Easier to ask a collective of users if they had "x issue" and how they solved it rather than pour over pages of documentation just to get nowhere.

That's about it, though I should mention something else... often, I am looking for something specific and people generally ignore what I say I am looking for and then get mad when I reject their recommendations for not being what I am looking for. I am not a dick about it or anything, but they always take it so personally because I am not all Pollyanna with my rejection. I don't understand how: "that's not what I am looking for; it must have _____, please don't recommend anything that doesn't have ________" is supposed to be mean or ungrateful. To me, it's just rude not to read what a person is asking about and wasting their time with something they didn't ask for and/or assuming they are incompetent, but apparently, others don't see it that way.

I used to have an account here before, so I am not really new or anything.

I guess that's it.
