Instagram is not compatible with my HTC hero

I have been waiting for instagram to come out on android and it's finally here, but It's not compatible with my phone... why????

Sorry to hear that the app you have been waiting for is not compatible with your device... I am unsure as to why apps are not compatible with all devices, but think it is something to do with the app developers and how they make the app. Hopefully, at some point in the future, they will release an update and the app will be compatible!

In the mean time, you should check out HTC Hero - Android Forums and connect with other users of the Hero, for tips and tricks on getting the most out of your phone.

I am currently using the HTC Hero, and have found you can sideload Instagram to your device to install it. You just cannot use the advanced camera, which has all the filters. I used the APK Downloader Chrome extension to download the apk to my pc, and then transferred over to the phone. Hope this helps!

is your hero on sprint? mine says there is a problem parsing the package. you didnt have that error? thanks
