Instagram issue: name dialogue in story text box

Hi, so this dialogue box appears in Instagram (pictured below). It shows first & last names which are stored somewhere in Android.

How can I remove this dialogue box, or remove a name from the box?

That looks like a suggestion box driven by Gboard. Try going to Settings > System > Languages & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard > Text correction and disabling the Suggest Contacts option.

Suggest contacts was already turned off. Could it be coming from somewhere else? thanks

I turned off personalization and it didn't go away. I also turned off suggestion strip but it just hid the strip above the keyboard, not the dialogue box with the two names.
